Michael Adee, executive director of More Light Presbyterians for 13 years, is leaving the organization to work with an international project involving faith and gay, lesbian, transgendered and bisexual persons. The new global initiative is sponsored by the Horizons Foundation of San Francisco.
Adee’s last day with More Light Presbyterians will be July 31, following the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). An openly gay elder, Adee was the first staff member ever hired by More Light Presbyterians, an advocacy organization that has worked for justice for gays and lesbians in the PC(USA).
Patrick Evans, a musician and artist-in-residence at Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City, will become More Light’s interim executive director.
