 The Presbyterian Outlook continues its tradition of commissioning Presbyterian hymn writer, Carolyn Winfrey Gillette to create Carolyn Gillettehymns for the season of Lent. In cooperation with Carolyn, David Gambrell, associate for worship in the Office of Theology and Worship has provided the scored versions of these new hymns.  Each hymn is $9.95 or purchase the whole package for $49.95. Lenten Lectionary-Inspired Hymns
 

These eight new hymn texts—two for Ash Wednesday, and one for each of the Sundays in Lent, including Passion / Palm Sunday—closely follow the texts and themes of the Revised Common Lectionary, Year C. The hymns are set to familiar tunes in the 1990 Presbyterian Hymnal. Liturgical notes accompanying each hymn offer suggestions about how they might be used in worship.
