Some of you may know that I helped found a group called presbymergent, along with author Karen Sloan. Presbymergent has been around for over one and a half years now, and has continued to gain interest among Presbyterians. We currently have over 200 registered users on our website (seminarians, pastors, theologians, Presbytery staff, Executive Presbyters, laity, youth pastors) and a very active blog as well as Facebook group. We've recently formed a Coordinating Group, which gives leadership to presbymergent in a variety of ways.
There are many presbymergent folk who will be at GA, serving as Commissioners and in a variety of other important tasks. Presbymergent will have a booth in the GA Exhibit Hall (with freebies...including frisbees), and there are also going to be some presbymergent-related events happening this week (one of which, The Church Basement Roadshow, is happening tonight at First Presbyterian Church in San Jose at 8pm - Facebook event page here).
