The Presbyterian Outlook has again commissioned noted Presbyterian hymn writer Carolyn Winfrey Gillette to prepare four Advent carols for this year’s lectionary texts. These are new hymn texts to be sung to familiar, beloved Christmas tunes everyone enjoys singing.

First Sunday: Isaiah 2:1-5, Hymn: “Here's a Promise You Can Count On!” - Tune: "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly"
Second Sunday: Matthew 3:1-12, Hymn: “When John the Baptist Preached” - Tune: “The Snow Lay on the Ground”
Third Sunday: Matthew 11:2-11, Hymn: “Are You the One Who is to Come?” - Tune: “O Little Town of Bethlehem”
Fourth Sunday: Matthew 1:18-25, Hymn: “Joseph Heard the Startling News” - Tune: "Gentle Mary Laid Her Child”

First Sunday: "O Come to the House of the Lord"
Second Sunday: "Branch of Jesse Come"
Third Sunday: "Justice Shall Roll down as Water"
Fourth Sunday: "Restore Us O God"
